Get the skills you need to undertake effective weed control in a wide range of situations.

In this short course, you will learn how to recognise common weeds and find out about various treatment methods and application techniques. You’ll also learn about how weeds spread and reproduce and why they are so successful.

On successful completion of this short course and related assessment tasks, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed in AHCPMG201 – Treat Weeds (Certificate II Level) or AHCPMG301 – Control Weeds (Certificate III Level).

Note – due to Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment requirements for Spray Operators, the Certificate II level units are usually completed by employees of businesses, with owner-operators being required to complete the Certificate III level units along with the two units within the ChemCert (Keep Safe – Be Chemically Aware) course.
