2020 Australian Vocational Student of the Year, Heetham Hekmat, came to Australia as a refugee with limited English.

Completing a number of qualifications at TasTAFE, including a Diploma of Community Services, Heetham has now found a job he loves helping young people as a youth health worker at The Link Youth Health Service in Hobart.
